As a U.S. Army and National Guard veteran, I know firsthand the sacrifices that come with serving our country. Veterans put their lives on the line to defend our freedoms, and when they return home, New York has a responsibility to stand by them just as they stood by us. Too often, our veterans face challenges with healthcare, housing, and employment. I believe we must do better for our veterans and their families.

Healthcare & Mental Health

• No veteran should struggle to access the care they earned. We must expand access to both physical and mental health services, cut through delays in the VA system, and strengthen local resources.

Ending Veteran Homelessness

• One homeless veteran is one too many. New York should work hand-in-hand with community organizations to expand transitional and permanent housing, provide rental assistance, and deliver wraparound services to help veterans and their families rebuild stability and dignity.

Education & Job Opportunities

• Our veterans deserve every opportunity to succeed when they come home. I will fight to ensure veterans can fully use their GI Bill benefits for education and workforce training. I also support expanding hiring incentives for businesses that employ veterans, creating pathways into union apprenticeships, and ensuring veterans have access to good-paying state jobs.

Supporting Military Families

• The families of service members serve too. We must strengthen support systems for spouses and children, including counseling, educational resources, and family assistance programs.

A Commitment to Action

• This is about more than policy—it’s about honoring a promise. New York must lead the way in ensuring that every veteran has access to the healthcare, housing, and opportunities they deserve. I will fight in Albany to make sure our state delivers for those who have sacrificed so much for us.

• Work with law enforcement and community leaders to reduce crime without over-policing.

• Support youth programs and violence prevention initiatives to keep our kids safe.

• Invest in better lighting, cameras, and infrastructure for safer public spaces.

• Fight skyrocketing rents and hold predatory landlords accountable.

• Expand affordable housing programs and protect Mitchell-Lama and NYCHA residents.

• Push for funding to repair and modernize public housing.

• Fully fund our public schools and ensure smaller class sizes.

• Invest in STEM, arts, and trade programs that prepare students for the future.

• Support parents, teachers, and after-school programs that keep our kids engaged and safe.

• Expand food programs and bring more fresh, affordable groceries to our neighborhoods.

• Support NORCs like Co-op City with more senior services, healthcare access, and transportation.

• Increase funding for meal programs, senior centers, and home care.

• Fight for lower prescription costs and expanded access to local healthcare facilities.

• Strengthen mental health and addiction treatment programs in our community.

• Champion preventative care and wellness initiatives to improve health outcomes.

• Attract new businesses and create local jobs with fair wages.

• Support small businesses and entrepreneurs with grants and low-interest loans.

• Expand job training programs to help residents transition into new industries.
